ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Now in its fourth year, the Best Young Tech competition seeks to honor one exceptional tech who’s moving the service repair industry forward through career development, innovation in their role, technical or educational achievement, community service, and importance to the shop.

As a contest sponsor, you’ll help fuel the future of successful shops by favorably branding your products to this highly targeted and highly sought-after audience.

Criteria to Win
Sponsorship Details
Sponsorship Packages

Time in the Industry: At least two years in the industry

Career Development: Promotions, additional responsibilities taken on in a short time period.

Innovation: Suggested/created time and/or money-saving processes the shop implemented.

Technical or Educational Achievement: Degrees, designations (AAP, etc.), certifications earned, etc.

Personal Attributes: Soft “people” skills, mentoring opportunities they’ve taken on, personal integrity, leadership skills, community service involvement, etc.

In 2023 sponsors received over 1.5 million impressions by being affiliated with the Best Young Tech contest. This will grow in 2024 as new monthly initiatives are being developed in addition to the program’s core promotional efforts.

Sponsors get the opportunity to favorably brand themselves to this younger generation via advertising, logo placement, product rewards to the winners, and more.

The contest is promoted to audiences of EBM’s Vehicle Repair Group brands –Motor Age, Ratchet + Wrench, Auto Service Professional, Modern Tire Dealer, and National Oil & Lube News. This consists of 200,000+ independent service repair shops in the US. The TechForce Foundation (www.techforcefoundation.org) also spreads the word, raising awareness among auto tech students, young alumni of vocational tech programs, and auto service training instructors.
